Unfounded rumors have recently surfaced online claiming that a sex tape involving Vice President Kamala Harris and Montel Williams is allegedly being shopped around.

Social media buzz began when X user Matt Wallace posted about the supposed tape, suggesting it could “break the internet” and impact Harris’ campaign just days before the election. Williams quickly took to social media to set the record straight, firmly denying the existence of any such tape.

“Wow, I hear a blogger I’ve never heard of got millions of views claiming someone is ‘shopping’ a sex tape of me [rolling eyes emoji] that will ‘break the internet,’” he wrote. “Let’s ‘break the internet’ w/ truth – there is no tape.” Williams also suggested that Harris’ recent surge in popularity may be fueling baseless rumors.

While the two shared a brief relationship over 20 years ago, Williams emphasized his respect for Harris and has defended her from similar scrutiny in the past. In 2019, he tweeted, “@KamalaHarris and I briefly dated about 20 years ago when we were both single. So what? I have great respect for Sen. Harris. I have to wonder if the same stories about her dating history would have been written if she were a male candidate.”
