Bobby Portis Jr. has embraced Milwaukee as his home, pouring his heart into the community through charitable work and events for local youth. But the Milwaukee Bucks star is feeling let down after two burglars attempted to break into his home while he was playing in Saturday night’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Taking to social media on Sunday, Portis shared a video expressing his love for Milwaukee, calling it the first place in his 10-year NBA journey that truly feels like home. He highlighted his commitment to the Cream City, saying, “I’ve been doing food drives, speaking to the youth, and just trying to make this place better for everyone. This is my home, so why wouldn’t I want to give back?”

However, that sense of security was shaken when he discovered two masked individuals attempting to break into his residence while he was on the court. In the surveillance footage Portis posted, the intruders—dressed in snow jackets and ski masks—can be seen with flashlights, seemingly working on the lock outside his front door.

Portis is now calling on the public for help, offering a reward for any information that leads to the return of his belongings or the identification of the burglars. “If you know anything, please come forward,” he urged, hoping someone in the community can assist him in tracking down the culprits.

Despite the unsettling incident, Portis put up a solid performance against the Cavaliers, scoring 10 points and grabbing eight rebounds in what ended up being a close 114-113 loss.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
