Cardi B is standing her ground after delivering a passionate speech at Kamala Harris’ rally in Milwaukee on November 1.

The WAP rapper addressed major issues such as healthcare, women’s rights, and the economy. However, her appearance didn’t sit well with everyone, as she quickly faced backlash online. But Cardi didn’t waste any time clapping back at the criticism.

One of the accusations aimed at Cardi was that she had accepted “a huge, undisclosed amount” of money for her appearance. Cardi, never one to back down, swiftly denied the claim, reminding critics that she’s been talking about politics publicly and for free for years. Then, on Saturday, she took to social media again to respond to those criticizing her for reading her speech from her phone due to technical issues with the teleprompter.

In her typical style, Cardi explained why she had to rely on her phone during the speech, saying, “I worked so hard, bro. I worked so hard on my speech… And a lot of y’all talking about ‘Oh, why are you reading it from a phone?’ Btch, I had to write that sht down… Btch, I’m 32 years old btch, and I have three kids. My mind be fcking racing all goddamn day, btch.” Cardi emphasized how her hectic life as a mother and her busy career often make it hard to remember everything on the spot.

But the drama didn’t stop there. Elon Musk also took a jab at Cardi, calling her a “puppet” on social media. Cardi was quick to shut him down, firing back, “I’m not a puppet Elon… I’m a daughter of two immigrant parents that had to work their a* off to provide for me! I’m a product of welfare, I’m a product of section 8, I’m a product of poverty and I’m a product of what happens when the system is set up against you….But you don’t know nothing about that. You don’t know not one thing about the American struggle…. PS fix my algorithm.”*

Despite the backlash, Cardi B is standing firm in her beliefs and continues to speak out.
