Beyoncé is turning up the heat and adding some star power to encourage Americans to hit the polls, unveiling a new video for her track “Bodyguard” from Cowboy Carter with an unforgettable message. Inspired by “Baywatch” legend Pamela Anderson, Beyoncé’s jaw-dropping transformation is all about getting fans to vote.
In the video, which dropped on Monday and is playfully titled “Beywatch” on YouTube, Beyoncé rocks a range of iconic Pamela-inspired looks, starting with the famous red swimsuit from Baywatch. Fans are raving over Bey’s take on Pamela’s “lifeguard chic”—but that’s just the beginning.
The video also shows Queen Bey channeling Pam’s fierce Barb Wire vibe, donning a plunging black dress with knee-high boots and arm-length gloves. In a playful moment, she wields a prop gun that pops out a “Vote” flag—a bold nod to the video’s pro-voting message and a reminder to fans that Election Day is here.
Beyoncé keeps up the homage by slipping into Pamela’s 1999 MTV VMAs look—giant pink fuzzy hat, white corset top, and shimmering leggings, recreating one of Pam’s most memorable red-carpet outfits.
Ending with two statements, “Happy Beylloween” and another urgent “Vote” message, Beyoncé rounds out the video’s theme. Although she doesn’t name any specific candidates, Beyoncé recently showed support for Vice President Kamala Harris, saying she stands behind Harris not “as a celebrity, but as a mother who cares about the world our children live in.”
This powerful message joins a chorus of celebs—including Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, John Legend, and more—who’ve spoken out in favor of Harris and the importance of voting.
