Cardi B has never been one to hold back, and Election Day 2024 was no different. As the presidential race between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris unfolded, the rapper took to Twitter to share her anxiety with her millions of followers. “We need a Hail Mary,” Cardi B tweeted on November 5, capturing her concern as Trump secured an early lead in the electoral college.

The usually outspoken artist’s brief, worried tweet resonated with her fans. Some replied with messages of solidarity, while others used the moment to mock her support for Kamala Harris. “What was needed was not to have celebrities like you give endorsements, you have no credibility,” one critical user wrote. Another chimed in sarcastically, “I was gonna vote for Kamala but then I saw you endorsed her and voted for Trump.” Shortly after, Cardi B shared a video on her Instagram Story, looking visibly frustrated. “I hate y’all bad,” she wrote, reflecting her dismay.

Cardi B’s Strong Support for Harris and Past Criticisms Cardi B has consistently made her political affiliations clear. A strong supporter of Joe Biden in the 2020 election, the rapper recently ramped up her support for Kamala Harris, even speaking at a Harris campaign rally in Milwaukee. During the rally, Cardi didn’t mince words, labeling Donald Trump a “hustler” in a not-so-positive light. “Hustling women out of their rights is disgraceful,” she said. “Hustling Americans out of their hard-earned money by selling Trump watches, Trump sneakers, Trump Bibles…”

The rapper’s speech at the rally sparked mixed reactions. While many of her fans praised her candid and passionate stance, some celebrities were less impressed. Former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick took a jab at Cardi, referencing her reliance on reading her speech from her phone during the rally. Azealia Banks also chimed in, describing Cardi’s speech as “eye-gougingly cringe.”
