Star Wars fans, brace yourselves! A new trilogy is reportedly in the works at Lucasfilm, and it’s set to continue the iconic Skywalker Saga.

According to Deadline, Simon Kinberg, known for his work on the X-Men movie franchise, has closed a deal to write and produce what is being described as Episodes 10-12. Kinberg will work alongside Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy to bring this next chapter to life.

Unlike the previously announced Star Wars projects, this new trilogy will stand apart, offering a fresh extension to the Skywalker story. Fans can still look forward to James Mangold’s film exploring the origins of the First Jedi and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy’s feature centered on Rey Skywalker (played by Daisy Ridley) rebuilding the New Jedi Order. However, this new set of films promises to bring the Skywalker name back into the spotlight in an epic continuation.

Details surrounding the plot, characters, and timeline are still tightly under wraps, making this a developing story worth keeping an eye on.
