Bhad Bhabie’s mom, Barbara Bregoli, isn’t staying silent when it comes to defending her daughter.
After the 21-year-old rapper revealed she has been taking cancer medication, online critics quickly accused her of lying about her condition. But Barbara was ready to fire back at the doubters.
In a passionate Instagram video posted on November 7, Barbara addressed a particularly harsh critic who accused her daughter of faking the illness. “How dare you?” she said. “I pray to God that one of your children never get cancer. I’ve had it twice. How dare you say my daughter’s faking this, you vile piece of no good s–t.”
Barbara took to Instagram Stories as well, expressing her frustration with the backlash against her daughter. “My god these comments are beyond disgusting—but like I always say, GOD DONT LIKE UGLY!!” she wrote, making it clear that she’s not here for baseless accusations.
The mother-daughter duo also pushed back against misinformation about cancer treatment side effects. Bhad Bhabie, whose real name is Danielle Bregoli, mentioned that her recent weight loss was due to her medication. Barbara supported her daughter’s explanation, countering claims that such treatment only causes bloating. Sharing an old photo of herself showing a slender figure after her own cancer battle, Barbara captioned, “For all those individuals commenting on cancer and cancer meds just bloating you, this was me one year after my 1st diagnosis! Stop with the assumptions!!!”
Bhad Bhabie’s health revelation comes as she celebrates a major milestone: the birth of her daughter, Kali Rose, with Le Vaughn, seven months ago. The young rapper addressed the public scrutiny about her changing appearance, writing on Instagram Stories, “I’m sorry my cancer medicine made me loose [sic] weight. I’m slowly gaining it back. So stop running with the worst narratives.”
Bhad Bhabie first made headlines in 2016 after her viral “Catch me outside, how ‘bout that?” moment during an appearance with Barbara on Dr. Phil, where they discussed her rebellious teenage behavior. Despite their rocky past, Barbara has shown unwavering support for her daughter, calling herself Bhad Bhabie’s “biggest cheerleader.”
“The love between a mother and daughter is an UNBREAKABLE BOND,” Barbara wrote in an October Instagram post. “She will never have to worry about who isn’t there, because I always will be!”
