Elon Musk isn’t playing along with Saturday Night Live‘s jokes, especially after Dana Carvey’s impersonation of him during the latest episode. The billionaire called out the cast for being “sore losers” after Carvey portrayed him in a skit.

The segment in question was the cold open, where SNL cast members pledged unwavering loyalty to Donald Trump, implying they’d always backed him to avoid potential backlash. During the skit, Kenan Thompson quipped that if things went sideways, they could just “bail on our planet and go to Mars with Elon Musk.” That’s when Dana Carvey, dressed as Musk, took the stage.

Carvey’s Musk danced erratically, cracked jokes about SpaceX rocket failures, and performed some wild dance moves before making his exit. The bit seemed to poke fun at Musk’s eccentric reputation and ambitious space ventures.

While many saw it as classic SNL humor, Musk interpreted the act differently. He took to social media, finding humor in what he saw as the cast’s frustration over Trump’s re-election. “They’re mad Trump won again,” Musk said, highlighting their supposed discontent.

Musk, a known supporter of the former president, has been vocal in backing Trump’s political endeavors. Trump, now President-Elect for a second non-consecutive term, has hinted that Musk might play a significant role in his administration, mentioning him as a potential “Secretary of Cost-Cutting.”

With Musk poised to influence the next four years of political policy, it’s likely SNL will continue to take jabs at the tech tycoon. And if history tells us anything, it’s that Musk won’t hold back from firing back at the show.

What do you think about Elon Musk’s reaction to SNL's portrayal? Is he justified in his response, or should he take it in stride? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
