Headline: Skai Jackson Announces Pregnancy, Opens Up About Embracing Motherhood and New Acting Roles
Skai Jackson is stepping into a new chapter of her life—and it’s a big one. The former Disney Channel star, known for her roles in “Jessie” and “Bunk’d,” has announced she is pregnant with her first child at the age of 22. The father’s identity remains private, but Jackson shared her excitement in an interview with People.
“I’m thrilled to begin this new chapter in my life — embracing motherhood and diving into new acting projects. My heart is so full!” Jackson gushed. The actress’s pregnancy first made headlines back in August, following an arrest for domestic battery.
Reports from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department indicated that Jackson allegedly got into an altercation with her partner at Universal CityWalk in Hollywood. The incident led to her arrest, but charges were never filed. Her representative explained, “Skai is relieved that the investigation revealed that this was nothing more than a misunderstanding. We appreciate that the DA determined very quickly that there should be no charges of any kind. Skai looks forward to putting this behind her.”
Speculation about her pregnancy intensified after sources close to the couple, who denied any physical altercation, informed TMZ that they were not only expecting a baby but also engaged. The news became more apparent when Jackson was spotted out in a Los Angeles parking lot in October, keeping her growing belly covered under an oversized flannel shirt layered over a tank top and shorts.
Skai Jackson rose to fame through her Disney Channel stardom from 2011 to 2018 and later transitioned into voice work for shows like “Marvel Rising” and “DreamWorks Dragons: Rescue Riders.” She also competed on “Dancing With the Stars” Season 29 in 2020, finishing in fifth place.
