Emily Blunt Wants John Krasinski’s “Sexiest Man Alive” Title Turned Into Home Wallpaper

John Krasinski’s recent crowning as People Magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive” for 2024 has left not just fans but his wife, Emily Blunt, brimming with excitement—and jokingly ambitious interior decorating ideas.

During Krasinski’s interview with the magazine, Blunt quipped that if her husband won the title, she’d cover their home in wallpaper featuring his cover image.

“Do we have that on camera? Because that’s like a binding contract, I think,” Krasinski joked in response, adding with a laugh, “My children will love that, it won’t be weird at all.” Krasinski, 45, shares two daughters, Hazel, 10, and Violet, 8, with Blunt.

Late Tuesday night, The Office alum was officially named the 2024 “Sexiest Man Alive” during The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Krasinski admitted he was shocked by the honor, saying, “Just immediate blackout, actually. Zero thoughts. You guys have really raised the bar for me.”

Krasinski also shared that Blunt, 41, was thrilled when she found out about the title. “There was a lot of joy involved in me telling her,” he revealed, adding that he expects the title might come with some extra tasks at home. “I think it’s going to make me do more household chores. After this comes out, she’ll be like, ‘All right, that means you’re going to really earn it here at home.’”

The couple, who tied the knot in a private ceremony at George Clooney’s Lake Como estate in 2010, have shared professional as well as personal milestones, starring together in A Quiet Place, A Quiet Place Part II, and their recent 2024 movie, If. Krasinski directed all three projects, showcasing his evolution from being known as “Jim from The Office” to a respected director.

“I had to pitch the studio like 54 times [for A Quiet Place] before they said yes,” he told People. “I’m pretty sure someone said, ‘Sorry, is Jim from The Office going to direct this?’ And I went, ‘Oh, it’s John, but we’ll get there.’”

Blunt and Krasinski’s relationship has become a beacon of supportive partnership in Hollywood. “It’s that beautiful thing where when you’re married to someone, you’re constantly learning and changing and evolving,” Krasinski reflected. “And I’m so lucky to go through all that with her.”
