John Krasinski Crowned People’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2024

John Krasinski has officially been named People’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2024!

The big reveal was made by Stephen Colbert on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday night, confirming that the A Quiet Place star and beloved The Office alum has taken this year’s top honor.

When asked about his reaction, the 45-year-old actor admitted to People that he was stunned. “Just immediate blackout, actually. Zero thoughts,” Krasinski said, adding with humor, “Other than maybe I’m being punked. That’s not how I wake up, thinking, ‘Is this the day that I’ll be asked to be Sexiest Man Alive?’ And yet it was the day you guys did it. You guys have really raised the bar for me.”

Krasinski shared that his wife, actress Emily Blunt, was thrilled by the news. “She was very excited,” John revealed, saying, “There was a lot of joy involved in me telling her.” The couple, who have been married for over a decade, share two daughters, Hazel, 10, and Violet, 8. The actor couldn’t help but gush over their life together. “It’s that beautiful thing where when you’re married to someone, you’re constantly learning and changing and evolving. And I’m so lucky to go through all that with her.”

And will being crowned Sexiest Man Alive change anything for Krasinski at home? The actor joked, “I think it’s going to make me do more household chores. After this comes out, she’ll be like, ‘All right, that means you’re going to really earn it here at home.’”
