It looks like T.J. Miller and Ryan Reynolds have buried the hatchet! Two years after claiming he’d never work with Reynolds again, the Silicon Valley alum is sharing a new, positive update on his relationship with his Deadpool costar.

Speaking on SiriusXM’s The Bonfire on November 12, Miller revealed, “We talked a little while ago. He’s just been such a good friend right now.”

So, could a return to the Deadpool universe be in the cards for Miller, who played the fan-favorite character Weasel in the 2016 hit and its 2018 sequel? While his character was absent from 2024’s Deadpool & Wolverine, the 43-year-old hinted at the possibility, saying, “That would be awesome.”

This update marks a significant turnaround from 2022, when Miller recounted a less-than-friendly experience with Reynolds while filming Deadpool 2. During an appearance on The Adam Carolla Show, Miller described what he called a “really weird moment” on set.

According to him, Reynolds, while in character as Deadpool, made a harsh comment: “He was like, ‘You know what’s great about you, Weasel? You’re not the star, but you do just enough exposition that it’s funny, and then we can leave and get back to the real movie.’”

At the time, Miller admitted, “Would I work with him again? No. I would not work with him again.” However, he later clarified that he never intended to publicly criticize Reynolds, calling it a “misunderstanding.”

Miller shared that Reynolds reached out via email after hearing about the interview. “It was very cool for him to say, ‘Hey, I just heard on the show that you were upset about this,’” Miller recalled during an October 2022 appearance on SiriusXM’s Jim Norton & Sam Roberts Show. The two hashed things out and moved past the incident.

Reflecting on the story’s unexpected media attention, Miller admitted, “What’s ridiculous is it was just me telling a story from on set that I thought was weird, that was it. A big problem I have in general is kind of not thinking about what the repercussions of saying this or that would be.”

With the air cleared and no bad blood between them, could we see Miller and Reynolds share the screen once more? Fans of the Deadpool franchise can only hope.

What do you think about T.J. Miller’s change of heart and potential return to the Deadpool series? Should he reunite with Ryan Reynolds for a future installment? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
