Country music star Zach Bryan is officially off the hook for his 2023 obstruction arrest. Michelle Lowry, spokesperson for the Craig County, Okla.,

District Attorney’s Office, revealed to TMZ that prosecutors decided in May to defer charging the Grammy winner for six months. Now, due to his good behavior, his case is being dismissed, provided he stays out of trouble until Friday.

Bryan was initially arrested in September 2023 after a confrontation with police during a traffic stop in his home state for speeding. He was booked on an obstruction of investigation charge but later released on bond. That night, Bryan took to social media to express his remorse, writing in a now-deleted tweet, “Today I had an incident with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Emotions got the best of me and I was out of line in the things I said.”

He further apologized, emphasizing his respect for law enforcement and acknowledging his frustration, which he said was “unlike me.”

He also issued a heartfelt apology in an Instagram Story video, admitting, “I was an idiot today. My decisions did not reflect who I was as a person. I just want to make that clear. I should’ve been smarter about it.”

While Bryan’s legal troubles may be behind him, personal drama continues to follow the “I Remember Everything” singer. His ex-girlfriend, Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia, recently accused him of emotional abuse and controlling behavior during their relationship. On the BFFs podcast last week, LaPaglia claimed that Bryan forced his exes to sign non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and even tried to push her into signing one, which she refused. “You made the women before me believe that they had no other choice but to take money from you,” she alleged. “[They] signed their experiences and what they went through away [so] you get to go skip off and sing your little f–king songs onstage like you’re a good dude.”

LaPaglia also claimed Bryan offered her $12 million to keep silent about their relationship. Despite the allegations, she stated that she has chosen to stay quiet on further details to avoid ruining his reputation.
