Megan Thee Stallion Pushes Back as Ex-Cameraman’s Case Stumbles in Court

Megan Thee Stallion is once again in the spotlight, but not for her chart-topping music. The “Hot Girl Summer” rapper is fighting back against an ongoing lawsuit filed by her former cameraman, Emilio Garcia.

Earlier this year, Garcia slapped Meg with serious allegations, accusing her of harassment, creating a hostile work environment, and more shocking claims. According to NBC News, Garcia’s lawsuit includes details like Megan allegedly engaging in intimate activities in front of him and making fat-shaming comments. He’s reportedly seeking six figures in “unpaid wages, as well as interest on the unpaid wages, unpaid overtime wages and other employee benefits.”

But things took an unexpected turn this week when Garcia’s legal team failed to show up for a pre-trial conference in Manhattan. Journalist Meghann Cuniff reported that this could lead to sanctions against Garcia’s team. The judge has already issued an order for them to explain why they shouldn’t be penalized. In response, Megan’s team is turning up the heat, asking for Garcia to be hit with a $6K sanction and for the lawsuit to be dismissed without prejudice. This would mean Garcia could refile the suit, but only once he finds proper representation in New York.

Megan’s battle with her ex-cameraman isn’t her only source of drama. Earlier this month, the rapper faced accusations from Jason Lee, who claimed she got into a heated argument with model Winnie Harlow at Michael Rubin’s famous white party. According to reports by Loren Lorosa, the alleged scuffle had ties to Tory Lanez—the man convicted of shooting Meg in the foot back in 2020.

Lorosa shared on social media, “This all started because Winnie is Canadian she posted something about Tory Lanez on social in the midst of the Meg x Tory shooting trial stuff .. which Meg allegedly took issue with.” The situation reportedly escalated with Megan approaching Winnie and saying, “I should beat your a**,” but partygoers stepped in before things got physical.

With so much drama swirling around, Megan Thee Stallion continues to navigate the spotlight under immense scrutiny.
