9-1-1: Lone Star is dialing up the drama and leaving fans on the edge of their seats as the series races toward its highly anticipated finale in February. The latest promo for Season 5, Episode 9 teases a jaw-dropping cliffhanger, with one beloved character seemingly facing a lethal situation.

In the teaser for the “riveting” fall finale, Carlos Reyes (played by Rafael Silva) is seen in a high-stakes moment when he’s ordered to “take the shot… that’s an order, ranger.” But things take a terrifying turn when Carlos himself gets shot and collapses to the ground. Cue the collective gasp from Lone Star fans everywhere!

For those who’ve been keeping up, this cliffhanger comes after Carlos got a crucial lead in his father’s murder case. But with suspicions swirling around Ranger Campbell (Parker Young), his new partner, the tension couldn’t be higher.

Before you panic, co-showrunner Rashad Raisani offered some comfort in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. He hinted that while things look grim, Carlos is in for more than just survival—he’s on the brink of finding closure. “All truth is laid bare for Carlos,” Raisani revealed. “It’s the end of his quest but the beginning of his life’s mission… it will be painful and exhilarating and peace-giving.”

You’ll see us united and you’ll see all those people and all those relationships that everybody out there has invested in for all of these seasons.”

Episode 9 of 9-1-1: Lone Star airs on December 2, with the series finale set to air on February 3, 2025. And for fans wondering, one of the show’s stars might even be making a move over to 9-1-1.
