Sean “Diddy” Combs is hitting back at federal prosecutors, accusing them of tampering with evidence to keep him behind bars as he faces serious allegations of sex trafficking and assault. The 55-year-old rapper has a critical hearing on Friday (November 22) to request bail while awaiting trial.
In new legal documents obtained by TMZ, Diddy’s legal team claims prosecutors presented an altered version of a leaked video that appears to show him assaulting his ex, Cassie. The video, which surfaced in May 2024, seemingly backed Cassie’s claims in a lawsuit filed earlier this year.
Diddy’s legal team is calling foul, alleging the video was edited to portray him as a danger. The filing describes the footage as a “domestic dispute in which he ran down the hall of the hotel to recover his clothes and cellphone” and frames the incident as a “sad glimpse into a decade-long consensual relationship.”
This isn’t the first time Diddy’s legal team has taken aim at the leaked footage. Previously, they argued that the video and related claims were part of an effort to sway public opinion—and potentially a jury—against him. This follows accusations that Diddy himself may have attempted to influence potential jurors through orchestrated social media posts by his children.
With his bail hearing just days away, Diddy’s allegations raise even more questions about the case and the tactics being used by both sides.
