Jason Kelce is trading the gridiron for the late-night stage as he takes on hosting duties for ESPN’s newest show, They Call It Late Night with Jason Kelce. The hour-long talk show, premiering January 3, 2025, will be taped in Philadelphia and is set to air Fridays at 1 a.m. on ESPN, with streaming available on ESPN+ and Kelce’s YouTube channel.

Kelce broke the news during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday, revealing his long-standing love for late-night television. “I loved late-night shows. I’ve always loved them. I remember sleepovers watching Conan O’Brien with my friends,” Kelce shared.

The retired Philadelphia Eagles legend promises a show packed with “legends of the game, friends that I played the game with, coaches, celebrities,” all filmed in front of a live audience at Union Transfer in Philadelphia. The title, They Call It Late Night, is a nod to They Call It Pro Football, NFL Films’ groundbreaking 1967 documentary.

The show will feature classic late-night staples like celebrity interviews, audience interactions, and live music provided by Philly’s own SNACKTIME. NFL Films, in collaboration with Kelce’s Wooderboy Productions and Skydance Sports, will produce the series.

With just five episodes confirmed so far, the show will run through February 1, coinciding with the NFL playoffs. This marks another milestone in Kelce’s first year as part of a multi-year deal with ESPN, following his retirement from professional football in March.

Jason’s foray into late-night comes amid a banner year for the Kelce family. His brother, Chiefs star Travis Kelce, continues to dominate headlines thanks to his relationship with Taylor Swift and their New Heights podcast, which recently signed a $100 million deal with Amazon’s Wondery network.

As Jason Kelce steps into this new role, fans can expect the same wit, charisma, and heart he brought to the football field for over a decade.
