Kanye West is once again making headlines, but this time it’s for shocking allegations from a model who appeared in a 2010 music video shoot.
Jenn An, known from cycle 13 of America’s Next Top Model, is suing the controversial rapper and Universal Music Group, alleging that West turned the video shoot for La Roux’s “In For the Kill” remix into a traumatic and degrading experience.
According to TMZ, in her federal lawsuit Jenn claims Kanye specifically selected her for the shoot, saying, “Give me the Asian girl.” She says she was dressed in revealing lingerie for the scene, and West reportedly commented, “That’s why I chose you,” before directing the focus onto her. According to Jenn, what happened next crossed every line.
Jenn alleges Kanye strangled her with both hands, smothered her face, and forced his fingers into her mouth, gagging her repeatedly to simulate forced oral sex. She describes the ordeal as lasting more than a minute, while West allegedly declared, “This is art. This is f**king art. I am like Picasso.”
The incident allegedly occurred at NYC’s Chelsea Hotel, with Jenn claiming the scene felt more like “pornographic gagging/deep throat/BDSM fetishes” than a legitimate music video. Notably, Kanye only appeared on the remix of the track and wasn’t involved in the original La Roux version. Jenn alleges that even La Roux later told a friend she witnessed “upsetting, unsettling” behavior during the shoot.
Jenn says the footage never made the final cut, but she accuses Universal Music Group and others in the industry of trying to “bury” the incident. The lawsuit is centered on claims of gender-motivated violence and exploitation.
This legal battle raises serious questions about accountability in the entertainment industry and whether incidents like this are being swept under the rug to protect high-profile figures.
