Tom Aspinall isn’t holding back when it comes to the greatest fighter of all time—and it’s not Jon Jones.

During an interview with Jon Bernard Kairouz, the UFC interim heavyweight champ gave his unfiltered take on why Bones Jones can’t claim GOAT status. Aspinall, who’s fresh off his own jaw-dropping performances, put Georges St-Pierre at the top of his list, citing one undeniable factor:

“GSP,” Aspinall declared when asked who the GOAT is. “He’s never failed for PEDs.”

The comment hits hard considering Jones’ controversial history with failed drug tests. Jones has faced multiple suspensions throughout his career, including positive tests for substances like hydroxy-clomiphene, letrozole, and the anabolic steroid turinabol. While Jones has always maintained that he never knowingly took any prohibited substances and blamed tainted supplements, his legacy has faced scrutiny.

Still, Aspinall isn’t dismissing Jones’ accomplishments outright. “Second,” he said when asked where Jones lands on his GOAT list. “I think it’d be silly to say that he wasn’t one of the best ever.”

And here’s where things get even juicier: Aspinall revealed that talks are already underway for a potential showdown with Jones. Following Jones’ recent heavyweight title defense against Stipe Miocic at UFC 309, fans might not have to wait long for this epic clash.

“Yeah, we’re in negotiations right now, is the honest answer,” Aspinall spilled on his YouTube channel. “We don’t know when the fight is going to be, but I’ll be ready to go whenever. I’m back in the gym training, as always. I’ll be ready to fight when they let me know.”

As Aspinall continues to sharpen his skills and await a fight date, one thing is clear: he’s ready to prove why he’s a force to be reckoned with—and maybe settle the GOAT debate in the Octagon.

What do you think—does Aspinall have a point about Jon Jones, or is Bones still the GOAT in your book? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
