Conor McGregor isn’t staying silent after being found liable for assault in his civil rape case in Ireland. Just a day after the jury’s decision, the MMA superstar went on a fiery social media rampage, slamming the verdict and doubling down on his innocence.

McGregor first addressed the Irish Independent’s post on X/Twitter, which declared, “Justice has been served.” The UFC fighter shot back, “Justice was served for James Lawrence, yes! Deplorable what they done. Nikita Hand, vicious liar! APPEAL!”

The reference to James Lawrence, McGregor’s co-defendant, comes after the jury cleared Lawrence of any liability in the same case. McGregor, however, wasn’t as fortunate.

But that was just the start. McGregor unleashed a longer tirade on social media, fully backing Lawrence and denouncing the case against both men.

“Two men falsely accused. One vindicated, the other soon to be! Congrats James Lawrence on absolute exoneration!” McGregor wrote. “It is absolutely disgraceful what they put you through here. Disgraceful!”

McGregor went on to claim critical evidence was ignored. “Every single statement of persons present on the night was ignored,” he added, promising to fight the verdict tooth and nail. “On we fight! Justice and truth will prevail! Appeal! Appeal! Appeal!”

The civil case stemmed from allegations by Nikita Ni Lamhain, who claimed McGregor and Lawrence assaulted her after a 2018 Christmas party. While Lawrence was cleared, McGregor was found liable and ordered to pay $250,000 in damages. However, the ruling did not include awards for aggravated or exemplary damages, which McGregor has highlighted in his appeals plan.

This latest legal saga has reignited debates among fans and critics alike, with McGregor’s vocal response only adding fuel to the fire.
