It’s the end of an era for Adele, as the Grammy-winning superstar wrapped up her epic “Weekends with Adele” residency at Caesars Palace on Saturday night with an emotional goodbye. Standing onstage in her signature black gown, Adele gave a heartfelt speech that left fans in tears.

She didn’t hold back, calling the past year “the worst year of my life.” Reflecting on her controversial decision to postpone the show at the last minute back in January 2022, Adele admitted, “I was told it was career suicide and that Vegas would never forgive me… had I done that show that I canceled, I certainly wouldn’t be standing here tonight during my 100th show in the Colosseum.”

Adele, visibly emotional, thanked her devoted fans for sticking by her and gave a special shout-out to her son, Angelo. The singer explained that part of her decision to commit to a Vegas residency was to provide stability for Angelo’s life, joking, “Maybe because I f**ing hate touring.”*

She didn’t forget to acknowledge her partner, Rich Paul, calling him her “biggest supporter.” Adele also got candid about a full-circle moment when Celine Dion stopped by her show last month, saying, “I cried for a whole week. I got closure when Celine Dion came to my show. It was one of the reasons I even wanted to do a Vegas residency.”

In true Adele fashion, she left her fans with a mix of tears and laughter, reiterating that she doesn’t know when or if she’ll return to the stage. “I am so sad that this residency is over but I’m so glad that it happened,” she said, pouring gratitude onto her audience.

Fans will forever cherish the unforgettable journey that was “Weekends with Adele.”
