Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Demarcus Robinson found himself in legal trouble just hours after celebrating a touchdown in the Rams’ loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on “Sunday Night Football.” The California Highway Patrol confirmed Robinson was arrested early Monday morning in Woodland Hills, California, on suspicion of driving under the influence.

According to the CHP, officers observed a white Dodge sedan speeding at over 100 mph on US-101 northbound around 5:13 a.m. The arrest report noted that officers “observed objective signs and symptoms of alcohol impairment,” leading to Robinson’s arrest at the scene. He was cited and later released to “a responsible party.”

Robinson, currently in his eighth NFL season and second with the Rams, has had an impressive year with 26 catches for 384 yards and six touchdowns. The timing of the arrest, coming shortly after a strong performance against the Eagles, has raised eyebrows.

Rams head coach Sean McVay is expected to address the incident during his press conference on Tuesday morning.
