According to insiders who spoke with The Jasmine Brand , the couple is expecting their second child together after secretly tying the knot in December 2023. While representatives for the pair haven’t confirmed the news, fans are already buzzing with excitement over the revelation.

The pregnancy comes just months after the “Foolish” singer and the “Hot in Herre” rapper welcomed their first child, Kareem Kenkaide Hayne, on July 18. Reflecting on the emotional moment during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Ashanti shared, “I cried—it was just so emotional and spiritual at the same time. Having a vision of this moment for so long … it was such an electrifying feeling.”

The Grammy-winning artist also expressed her long-standing desire to become a mom, telling fans on Instagram, “I’ve been waiting to be a mom for a long time now.”

Nelly and Ashanti first crossed paths at a Grammy Awards press conference in 2003 and have collaborated on multiple music projects over the years, including their 2008 hit “Body on Me” and 2024’s “This Lil’ Game We Play.”

The couple dated for a decade before splitting in 2013, only to rekindle their romance in 2023. They made their reunion public during a boxing match in Las Vegas that April, with Nelly later confirming the relationship in September.

Speaking on their journey back to each other, Nelly told Rasheeda and Kirk Frost of Love & Hip Hop, “Sometimes being separate you understand one another more.” Their love story took another step when they reportedly wed in a private ceremony in St. Louis, Missouri, on December 27, 2023, as confirmed by a marriage license obtained by Page Six.
