Arnold Schwarzenegger had an unexpected guest list this Thanksgiving, as LAPD officers responded to a bomb threat targeting his L.A.-area mansion. Sources close to law enforcement tell TMZ that the call claimed an explosive device had been planted in the action star’s mailbox.

Cops rushed to the scene, thoroughly inspecting the mailbox and surrounding area. Thankfully, no bomb was found. Officers spoke with Schwarzenegger’s security team, who assured them it would be nearly impossible for anyone to carry out such a threat. Arnold’s home is protected by 24/7 security and a state-of-the-art surveillance system.

Interestingly, Schwarzenegger wasn’t even home when the drama unfolded. According to sources, the Terminator star was at the gym, staying true to his legendary workout routine before indulging in a Thanksgiving feast. LAPD is treating the incident as a swatting—a dangerous prank involving false emergency reports—but no arrests have been made so far.

Arnold’s team expressed gratitude for the officers who spent their holiday ensuring his home was safe. “They’re thankful for the quick response and relieved there was no real threat,” a source close to the actor said.

The scare comes amid a tense week for high-profile figures across the country. Congressman Matt Gaetz and members of President-Elect Donald Trump’s cabinet also faced bomb threats, all of which turned out to be hoaxes.

On a day meant for gratitude, Schwarzenegger is undoubtedly thankful that the scare was nothing more than an empty threat.

What do you think about these escalating swatting incidents targeting public figures? Should stricter measures be put in place to prevent such dangerous pranks? Let us know in the comments below!
