Elon Musk might just pull off being in two places at once, thanks to a mind-blowing offer from Realbotix, a company specializing in creating ultra-realistic humanoid robots. With Musk set to take on a new government role in 2025 as co-lead of the Department of Government Efficiency, the company has offered to build a lifelike robot version of Musk to help him juggle his duties without skipping a beat.

In a letter addressed to the Tesla CEO via TMZ, Realbotix CEO Andrew Kiguel proposed creating a “one-of-a-kind humanoid robot” designed to mimic Musk’s appearance, voice, and even his mannerisms. “Imagine a version of yourself always available to inspire innovation, advocate for progress, and interact with world leaders and citizens alike,” Kiguel wrote.

The proposed “Elon Bot” wouldn’t just look like Musk but would also come loaded with high-tech features. It could track cryptocurrency prices, move autonomously, maintain eye contact, and serve as a physical extension of Musk’s “ideas and persona.” Realbotix emphasized their droids’ advanced capabilities, boasting they’re “capable of learning and communicating with precision.”

Kiguel also praised Musk’s work with Tesla’s Optimus robot, suggesting their own creation could be an ideal complement to Musk’s demanding schedule as he continues leading his businesses while serving in the Trump administration. “Our bot could allow you to balance your entrepreneurial ventures while fulfilling the duties of your government role,” Kiguel added.

Musk isn’t the first notable figure approached by Realbotix for a robot doppelganger. Comedian Whitney Cummings famously had the company create a robot version of herself in 2018 and raved about the results. Realbotix says their technology has come a long way since then, offering even more advanced capabilities.

With Musk’s acceptance still up in the air, one can’t help but imagine the possibilities (or potential chaos) of having bots mingling in the political and tech spheres. Robots running government meetings, fielding questions from world leaders, or negotiating deals—what could go wrong?
