Joe Jonas isn’t holding back about being left on read by Timothée Chalamet. The Jonas Brothers star took to TikTok to call out the “Wonka” actor for ignoring his texts for an entire year, sharing a screenshot of their one-sided exchange that included a heartfelt “miss you” and a selfie.
“Last December, I sent Timothee [sic] Chalamet a text from my friend’s phone, anticipating a response,” Jonas wrote over the screenshot. “This December, he still hasn’t texted back. Hope this helps.”
Not stopping there, Jonas posted a follow-up slide with a fresh selfie, captioning it, “Good things can wait,” while promising his six million followers an update if Chalamet decides to respond by next December. Fans quickly chimed in, offering relatable quips like, “I totally understand how you feel, Joe. I am also waiting on a response from Timothée Chalamet,” and, “He’s just thinking of the perfect reply.”
While Chalamet has yet to respond to Jonas’ messages, it’s safe to say the Oscar-nominated actor has had a busy year. Between his much-publicized romance with Kylie Jenner and a packed filming schedule, it’s been a whirlwind for the 28-year-old star. Chalamet and Jenner made headlines after stepping out together at the 2024 Golden Globes and later enjoyed a Bahamas getaway in August with Jenner’s friends and family.
Professionally, Chalamet has been hard at work on projects like his upcoming film Marty Supreme, where he stars alongside Gwyneth Paltrow. The pair was photographed sharing a steamy moment on set in New York City this past October, sparking a flurry of conversation online. Addressing the viral images, Paltrow admitted during an appearance on The Tonight Show, “It’s just like, you’re trying to have this scene, and then there are paparazzi everywhere.”
As Jonas hilariously waits for a reply, fans are left wondering if this playful call-out might finally get Chalamet to hit send—or if Jonas will be left hanging for another year.
