Justin Timberlake is hitting pause on his Forget Tomorrow World Tour once again after sustaining a back injury during a recent performance in New Orleans. The 43-year-old pop icon announced on Instagram that his December 2 show at Oklahoma City’s Paycom Center is officially canceled as he focuses on recovery.
“I’m so sorry, Oklahoma City,” Timberlake wrote in his heartfelt Instagram Story update. “I hurt my back in NOLA, and my doctors have instructed me to rest a little longer. I hate doing this, but thank you for your support.” Fans, while disappointed, have largely expressed their understanding as Timberlake prioritizes his health.
This is the third time Timberlake has had to reschedule or cancel dates on his ambitious Forget Tomorrow World Tour. Supporting his latest album Everything I Thought It Was, the tour is Timberlake’s first in five years, spanning continents with stops across the U.S., South America, Europe, and the U.K. Previously postponed shows from October are already being integrated into his February 2025 schedule, ensuring fans will eventually get their fill of the dynamic performer.
While Timberlake’s back injury has temporarily sidelined him, his year has been anything but quiet. In September, Timberlake resolved a DWI charge, pleading guilty and receiving a $500 fine along with 25 hours of community service. The incident briefly took the spotlight off his music, but Timberlake has since kept the focus on his craft. Fellow N’Sync member Joey Fatone recently attended one of Timberlake’s shows, sharing behind-the-scenes moments with fans, while Lance Bass revealed that Diddy once influenced Timberlake’s decision to leave the group for a solo career.
For now, fans are hopeful that Timberlake’s recovery will allow him to return to the stage soon, delivering the electrifying performances that have made him a global superstar.
