The beef between 50 Cent and Young Buck is heating up again, and this time, it’s all about money.
A new court filing from Young Buck claims that he was never paid the $250,000 advance he was promised when he signed with G-Unit back in 2014. While their issues have been simmering for years, this latest legal twist is reigniting the debate over whether 50 Cent ever made good on his financial commitments to his former G-Unit soldier.
According to Buck’s legal team via AllHipHop, the contract he signed in 2014 “fails to meet enforceability standards under New York law.” The lawyers argue that there’s no evidence, such as bank records or tax filings, to prove 50 Cent ever paid the advance. “G-Unit [Records] would have this court accept that no bank records, business records, or tax filings exist to substantiate these payments,” Buck’s attorneys said, highlighting the lack of documentation supporting the payout.
This isn’t the first time the dispute has surfaced. Back in 2020, Buck filed for bankruptcy, which led to G-Unit Records claiming the $250,000 as part of the proceedings. Buck has consistently maintained that he never saw the money, even addressing the issue during a 2022 interview on It’s Tricky with Raquel Harper. “Once he stopped me from being able to make money, I filed another bankruptcy,” Buck explained. “They stopped him from being able to cease-and-desist in regards to me being able to, you know.”
50 Cent, never one to shy away from trolling, has publicly poked fun at Buck over the financial feud. After Buck was ordered to pay the $250,000 in August, 50 reposted the headline on Instagram, adding, “I don’t know why they make me go through this part. But I’m a need that money by Monday.” The trolling didn’t stop there, with 50 continuing to fan the flames on social media.
Young Buck, however, sees things differently. During an episode of Steve-O’s Wild Ride, he opened up about his strained relationship with 50 Cent. “I don’t know what I did to make him want to see me not feed my children,” Buck said, expressing confusion over 50’s actions. “Fifty’s his own person, but I would never wish death or wanna see him not be able to feed his family.”
As the legal battle continues, fans can only wonder whether these former G-Unit collaborators will ever resolve their issues or if this feud will remain a defining chapter in their careers.
