Nick Fuentes, a 26-year-old far-right streamer, has found himself at the center of controversy once again after being arrested on Class A misdemeanor battery charges. Fuentes allegedly maced a woman named Marla Rose outside his home in Berwyn, Illinois, on November 27, 2024. The incident followed a heated confrontation that stemmed from Fuentes’ controversial comments on social media.
A mugshot of Fuentes quickly went viral on platforms like X/Twitter, sparking widespread conversation about the streamer’s actions and his escalating public feuds.
The situation began earlier in November after the election victory of President-elect Donald Trump. Fuentes taunted abortion rights activists by posting, “Your body, my choice. Forever,” a comment that drew significant backlash. The post led to Fuentes’ home address being shared online, prompting protesters, including Marla Rose, to confront him.
In a video recorded by Rose, Fuentes can be seen spraying a liquid, believed to be mace, directly at her before seizing and destroying her phone.
According to Detective Phillip Quattrocchi of the Berwyn Police Department, Fuentes was taken into custody on November 27. He was processed at the Berwyn police station, fingerprinted, and released 27 minutes later with a court summons.
Fuentes is scheduled to appear in court on December 19, 2024, at the Maybrook Courthouse in Illinois.
This incident has added to Fuentes’ controversial reputation, with many online debating whether the situation reflects a pattern of behavior or an isolated event.
