Another chapter in the Meet the Parents saga is in the works! Universal Pictures is reportedly in early talks to bring back some of the original stars for a brand-new film in the beloved franchise. Deadline reports that Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller, Teri Polo, and Blythe Danner are in discussions to reprise their iconic roles.

The screenplay is set to be penned by John Hamburg, who co-wrote the first three films in the series. While plot details are still under wraps, fans can expect more of the chaos and in-law drama that made the original movies so memorable. For those who need a refresher, Stiller and Polo play a married couple in the franchise, with De Niro and Danner portraying her hilariously overbearing parents.

The Meet the Parents universe began in 2000 with its smash-hit debut, followed by Meet the Fockers in 2004 and Little Fockers in 2010. This new installment would mark a return to one of comedy’s most dysfunctional and entertaining families.

As the project takes shape, fans are eager to see how the story will evolve and what hilarious situations will unfold next. With the original cast potentially reuniting, the film could bring fresh laughs while honoring its roots.
