Jay-Z’s week has taken another complicated turn. Amid ongoing legal drama stemming from allegations made by an anonymous woman accusing him and Diddy of sexual assault in 2000, 31-year-old Rymir Satterthwaite has reignited claims that he is the music mogul’s illegitimate son.
Satterthwaite, who has long claimed to be Jay-Z’s biological child, recently called out the rapper for his response to the sexual assault allegations and demanded a DNA test. Speaking to The Jasmine Brand, Satterthwaite accused Jay-Z of deflecting and avoiding accountability.
“Despite my efforts, Mr. Carter has never once written a letter to me to address these claims—whether to deny or acknowledge paternity, or to explain why his attorneys committed this fraud,” he alleged. “If Mr. Carter values the ideals of honor and protecting children, as he claims in his letter, he should step forward with transparency. He continues to deflect and avoid.”
Jay-Z has not publicly addressed Satterthwaite’s statements. Meanwhile, his lawyer Alex Spiro has requested an emergency hearing regarding the anonymous woman’s lawsuit, calling the allegations a “shakedown.” Spiro emphasized the urgency of the matter, stating, “Due to the highly sensitive nature of this matter and the intense media scrutiny it has generated, we respectfully request to be heard on an expedited basis. For the avoidance of doubt, Mr. Carter is entirely innocent.”
With mounting legal battles and renewed personal claims, Jay-Z’s week has been nothing short of tumultuous.
