Snoop Dogg isn’t holding back when it comes to calling out Lil Wayne. The legendary rapper has made it clear where he stands in the ongoing feud between Kendrick Lamar and Lil Wayne.

During a recent appearance on the Drink Champs podcast with Dr. Dre, Snoop criticized Weezy’s reaction to not being chosen to headline the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show in his hometown of New Orleans.

Lil Wayne expressed disappointment over the decision to feature Kendrick Lamar instead, but Snoop sees things differently. “This is a big event,” Snoop said on the podcast. “You should just be honored that hip hop is being able to be seen on that platform, for all of us, and not hate on the next man, but be happy.”

Snoop, who performed alongside Dr. Dre and Lamar during the 2022 Halftime Show, dismissed the idea that any artist should feel entitled to the spotlight. “I didn’t feel like I was supposed to be there or in demand to be there,” he explained, reflecting on his own experience. “People look at everything when they pick the person to perform.”

Though he didn’t mention Lil Wayne by name, Snoop praised JAY-Z for opening doors for hip hop artists on the Super Bowl stage. “Before JAY-Z got control of the Super Bowl, wasn’t no n**gas performing,” Snoop stated. “He’s creating a wave of artists that have an opportunity to perform.”

In a final word of advice for Weezy, Snoop encouraged patience. “Your time will come,” he said, suggesting that Wayne could still headline in the future.

Snoop Dogg’s comments have drawn attention to the growing divide between two legends of the game. While Kendrick Lamar continues to secure his spot as a headliner, the drama around Lil Wayne’s reaction adds another layer to the story.
