Taylor Swift is ready to take a well-earned break after the conclusion of her record-shattering Eras Tour. A source close to the pop superstar told Page Six that Swift, who turns 35 on December 13, is “burnt out” and looking forward to some downtime.
“Taylor was ready for this tour to wrap because she’s burnt out and is looking forward to some rest and relaxation,” the insider says. Her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, has been supportive, encouraging her to prioritize herself.
The Grammy winner strategically wrapped her tour in Vancouver on December 8, just days before her birthday and the holidays. “Taylor planned it this way so she could have some time off to celebrate her 35th birthday and the holidays,” the source explains.
Kelce, 35, is reportedly in awe of Swift’s hard work. “He’s so inspired by her and proud of all the hard work she’s done,” the source says, adding that Kelce is also helping Swift embrace some much-needed R&R.
The Eras Tour, which kicked off in Glendale, Arizona, in March 2023, has been a monumental success, not just for Swift but for her crew. Over the past two years, Swift gave an extra $197 million in bonuses to her dancers, choreographers, and tour staff. “Taylor knows she couldn’t have done it without each and every one of them,” the source adds.
As Swift gears up for some well-deserved relaxation, Kelce is planning to make her milestone birthday extra special. The NFL star has been carefully selecting gifts for months, ensuring they include items Swift casually mentioned she would like.
Although Kelce’s busy schedule includes an away game against the Cleveland Browns on December 15 and another against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day, he’s determined to celebrate both occasions with Swift.
