It’s official—Chance The Rapper’s marriage to Kirsten Corley is coming to an end. TMZ has learned that Corley filed for divorce in Cook County, Illinois, on Friday, officially starting the legal process to dissolve their 5-year union.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the couple had a prenuptial agreement in place, which could play a big role in how their assets are divided. Kirsten is citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split and is requesting child support in an amount that aligns with the best interests of their two children—daughters Kensli and Marli. She is waiving spousal maintenance.
This move comes months after the couple publicly announced their separation back in April. At the time, they released a statement saying they planned to continue raising their daughters together despite their decision to split.
Chance and Kirsten’s story began all the way back in 2013, when the two first started dating. They officially tied the knot in a lavish 2019 ceremony at the Pelican Hill Resort in Newport Beach, California. The wedding was nothing short of star-studded, with big names like Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, and Dave Chappelle among the attendees.
Chance often celebrated their relationship through his music, sharing pieces of their love story and family life with fans. Now, the couple is moving forward separately, though their focus remains on co-parenting their daughters.
