Fans of the Man of Steel are finally getting a sneak peek at James Gunn’s vision for Superman, and it’s safe to say the excitement is soaring.
On Wednesday, DC Studios released a 30-second teaser for the upcoming Superman movie, giving fans their first glimpse of David Corenswet as Clark Kent, alongside iconic characters Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen.
The teaser, while brief, sets a dramatic tone with scenes of people in Metropolis gazing skyward as Superman flies overhead. Though Superman himself is only shown sparingly, the teaser opens with a striking look at Lois Lane, played by Emmy-winner Rachel Brosnahan, and Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, hinting at a fresh and dynamic take on the Daily Planet crew.
Fans won’t have to wait long for more. The full Superman trailer is set to drop online Thursday morning at 9 a.m. ET, as confirmed by DC Studios.
Corenswet leads an all-star cast in Superman, with Brosnahan as Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult stepping into the role of Lex Luthor. Other cast members include Wendell Pierce as Perry White, Milly Alcock as Supergirl, and Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern Guy Gardner. The film also introduces a slew of DC Universe characters, such as Hawkgirl, Mister Terrific, and Rick Flag Sr., hinting at the broader world Gunn is building for this new era of DC films.
Scheduled to hit theaters on July 11, 2025, Superman marks the first major chapter in James Gunn’s relaunched DCU. With Milly Alcock’s Supergirl already slated for her own solo film in 2026, this movie serves as a launching pad for the franchise’s future.
