Tom Holland Shares Holiday Plans with Zendaya’s Family

Tom Holland is spending the holidays in the U.S. this year, and he’s opening up about his festive plans. The Spider-Man star revealed during an interview on the Dish podcast with Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett that he’ll be celebrating with his girlfriend Zendaya’s family, adding a dose of excitement to his end-of-year festivities.

“I am gonna be in America this year, I’ll be with my girlfriend’s family, which will be fun,” Tom shared. As for where they’ll be celebrating, the actor kept that detail private, saying, “Where we’ll be is a secret.”

While this Christmas is set to be memorable, Holland reflected on a rough holiday season he endured a few years ago during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. “The first time I spent Christmas away from home was in America, and unfortunately, not by choice. I made two movies back-to-back through COVID. Did two press tours through COVID and did not get COVID once, the entire time. And after the Spider-Man 3 premiere was the last day of work I had, I was supposed to fly home the next day for Christmas, and I got COVID,” he said. “So, I spent like two weeks in essentially the guest bedroom and just was by myself. It was a pretty rough Christmas, to be fair. This year will be great. This will be great.”

Looking ahead, Holland revealed that he and Zendaya are considering a new holiday tradition that involves bringing both of their families together for future celebrations. “I think what we’d like to start doing is rather than like, spending it with each family each year, is to bring the families together,” he said. “That’s what I think we want to do next time. This time, ’cause we’re both actors, we’re terrible at organizing things. So it hasn’t happened yet. The thought’s there. The idea has been planted.”

Holland has been spending time in Boston lately while Zendaya is in town filming her latest movie, The Drama, alongside Robert Pattinson. Interestingly, Holland and Pattinson previously worked together on Netflix’s The Devil All the Time and will reunite for Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film, which promises to feature an A-list cast.
