Get ready for a cinematic treat as The Weeknd is officially set to make his feature film debut in the suspense thriller Hurry Up Tomorrow, starring alongside Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan. Lionsgate has locked in May 16, 2025, as the movie’s release date.
Directed by Trey Edward Shults, who also co-wrote the film with The Weeknd, Hurry Up Tomorrow promises not only an edge-of-your-seat story but also brand-new music from the superstar himself. The film shares its title with The Weeknd’s upcoming album and tour, completing the trilogy that began with After Hours (2020) and Dawn FM (2022).
The excitement doesn’t stop there—Hurry Up Tomorrow is set to drop as an album on January 24, 2025, just a day before a one-night-only concert at Rose Bowl Stadium. Talk about building momentum!
Fans of Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan will also have plenty to look forward to. Ortega has been creating waves with her upcoming film Death of a Unicorn, while Keoghan stays busy with Netflix’s Peaky Blinders film and the crime thriller Crime 101, featuring a star-studded cast including Chris Hemsworth, Halle Berry, and Pedro Pascal.
