Beyoncé is bringing her flair to the football field, but not without taking a playful jab at Netflix.
The Grammy-winning icon teased her much-anticipated halftime performance for the Houston Texans vs. Baltimore Ravens game at NRG Stadium with a cheeky social media promo that had fans—and even Netflix—talking.
In a video posted December 24, Beyoncé sits on a football field, effortlessly rocking a flowing cape, oversized hat, and sunglasses while strumming a banjo to her track “Texas Hold ’Em.” Just as she dramatically removes her shades, the infamous Netflix red buffering circle takes over, followed by the sound of Beyoncé laughing. The video then cuts to a reminder about the Christmas Day game and her halftime performance.
The Houston native didn’t stop there, captioning her post with a warm holiday message: “I’m sending you big joy and love on this Cowboy Christmas Eve. I’ll see y’all tomorrow, in my city HTX.”
Netflix quickly joined in on the fun, commenting, “now hold on…” on X/Twitter and even updating their bio to read, “roasted by beyoncé 12.24.25.” Fans were equally entertained, flooding social media with comments about the hilarious promo.
This halftime show marks Beyoncé’s first performance since her Renaissance World Tour wrapped in October 2023 and her first since the release of her latest album, Cowboy Carter, in March. While the Texans-Ravens game streams on Netflix at 4:30 p.m. ET, Beyoncé’s halftime spectacle will remain available on the platform for three hours after the game ends. For international fans, the stream will be available for 24 hours after it concludes.
